Visiting the lakes in search of interesting species - Tso Moriri & Tso Kar

Tso Moriri & Tso Kar are two amazing lakes that have a picture postcard beauty to them. "Tso' means Lake and the drive though long (about 240 kms from leh) and rough is equally exciting and I get to see two of the critically endangered species - the Tibetan Wild Ass locally known as the Kiang and the Black-necked Crane along the way. Tso Moriri is also the breeding ground for many of the winter migrants that we have in the plains, the Bar-headed goose, Ruddy Shelduck
